Welcome to the MERE project. This project has been dead for such a long time. However I'm going to try and bring it back to life, with a slightly different focus. I want it to be a network-multiplayer game, where each user agent is both client and server. Each area of the game is served by a different computer (or it may be the same) and if one computer logs off, it transfers its responsibilities to another. The concept that anyone can inject objects into the game world still stands, and the game will maintain state as long as at least one agent is connected.

The current development is Miyako - this is a multiplayer chat program using the MERE client/server principle. Users will be able to move around on a simple map, and chat with other users in the vicinity.
